Civic Innovation Lab

Part design lab, part community caucus, part accelerator of urban solutions, The Civic Innovation Lab at Hub LA will be the first lab of it’s kind in Los Angeles dedicated to prototyping and testing real solutions designed with and for communities throughout Los Angeles.

OUR MISSION::

• Prototype new ways citizens can productively work with government

• Engage community activists, data scientists, policy makers, academics, and entrepreneurs to tackle city-wide challenges from housing and education, to small business, neighborhood stabilization, and transportation.

• Use open data to create solutions that further our local economy and better our communities

• Demonstrate a stakeholder engagement process of designing with and for end users

This first lab will pilot a new model for civic engagement and the acceleration of urban solutions utilizing available government data, and the ingenuity of engaged citizen stakeholders. RSVP for the first lab on 9/14/14 here.
